Description
The AN1 Series Sensors are one-piece, intrinsically linear contact angle Position Sensors. The Sensors operate through the use of Hall Effect Technology with magnetic fields generated by permanent magnets. They provide a linear change in voltage output (ratiometric to the input voltage) corresponding to an angular rotation of the input shaft.

The MLX90316 is only sensitive to the flux density coplanar with the IC surface. This allows the MLX90316 with the correct magnetic circuit to decode the absolute rotary (angular) Position from 0 to 360 Degrees. It enables the design of novel generation of non-contacting rotary Position Sensors that are frequently required for both automotive and industrial applications.

General Description
The AK7401 is a monolithic Hall-Effect Sensor IC that specializes in detecting rotation angle. A contactless rotary Position Sensor is easily designed with a magnet.
The AK7401 is only sensitive to the magnetic flux density applied parallel to the IC surface. This is obtained through a magnetic concentrator which is mounted on the Hall-Effect elements. It is advantageous to accurate angular measurements against mechanical displacement.
To detect the rotation angle of a magnet, the AK7401 provides a 12-bit angle data. The angle data output is available via PWM and serial data protocols.
