SERIES MF1206

EFC Series MF1206 are POLYPROPYLENE capacitors with an internal series construction of double-sided metallized carrier and foil contact plates. This series offers the advantages of a self-healing metallized dielectric and the high current/pulsing capabilities (see dv/dt Table) of a foil capacitor. Packaging options include: wrap and fill (TC, TF), radial lead box (EFR), and radial lead dip (DFR).

Applications
   Style SCD offers protection against voltage transients in low to medium current
   IGBT applications where high dV/dt is encountered. Connect these capacitors from
   C1 to E2 on a dual IGBT module or from P to N on a six-pack module to eliminate
   severe voltage transients. Parts ending with Z25 fit IGBTs with 23mm, 25mm and
   28mm lead spacing. If you have a preferred lead spacing, please specify.

Overview
The R76 Series is constructed of POLYPROPYLENE film and double metallized polyester film as electrodes with radial leads of tinned wire. The radial leads are electrically welded to the metal layer on the ends of the capacitor winding. The capacitor is encapsulated in a self-extinguishing solvent resistant plastic case with thermosetting resin material meeting the UL 94V–0 requirements.

Description : POLYPROPYLENE Pulse/High Frequency Capacitors A72 Series POLYPROPYLENE Film/Foil, Axial

Overview
The A72 Series is constructed of POLYPROPYLENE flm and metal foil or metallized flm and metal foil with axial leads of tinned wire. The axial leads are electrically welded to the metal layer on the ends of the capacitor winding. The capacitor is encapsulated in a polyester tape wrapping case with thermosetting resin material. Two different winding constructions are used depending on voltage parameters. Please see the Performance Characteristics for more information.

Applications
    Typical applications include switching spikes suppression and resonant capacitors in switched mode power supply (SMPS), and deflection circuits in televisions (S-correction and flyback tuning) as well as applications with high voltage and high current. Description : POLYPROPYLENE Film Capacitors ORANGE DROP®, Low Loss

POLYPROPYLENE plastic film is employed as the dielectric in Type 715P ORANGE DROP® capacitors. Type 715P capacitors are ideal for applications where high AC current flow is found, as in certain solid-state TV vertical circuits, r-f generators and pulse-forming networks where dielectric heating is often a problem.

The POLYPROPYLENE dielectric film is similar to polystyrene in that it can handle high AC currents due to its low loss but with the added advantage of an operating temperature to + 105°C.

Capacitance change with temperature is less than 3% over the entire operating temperature range. The temperature coefficient is negative and virtually linear at 180PPM/°C over the temperature range of + 25°C to + 105°C. This characteristic means the Type 715P is suitable for matching with positive TC resistors and inductors to maintain circuit stability.

EFC Series SP1213 are metallized POLYPROPYLENE capacitors in a wrap and fill construction.
Special metallization and high-tech terminations allow these capacitors to operate at up to 30
Amps ripple current at frequencies up to 100 kHz. SP1213 exhibit little or no capacitance
rolloff, when compared to electrolytics, at these high frequencies.
